One more on the Tuesday Tutorial train, even though it’s technically Wednesday (I have 12 hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so the day doesn’t end till I say it does, dagnabbit).

This tut, from Vectortuts+ is a goldmine.  It shows how easy it is to source materials from simple things like a basic picture of a tree.  Shows the process of creating a hand drawn illustration, inking it, scanning and placing as well as the creation of a cutting edge,  complex composition from a lot of elements that is relevant and current both in content and style.

If I were Simon Cowell I’d say that this was the best performance of the night.
